Play YatzyFree, zero ads, no sign-up, on mobile and desktop.
How to play
Tap the dice to keep, then “Roll” (two rerolls a turn). Then pick the box of the score sheet to fill: each box is used once. 63 points or more in the upper section give a 35-point bonus. Your friend gets the same dice: choose better.
Example
Keep the three 4s (✋) and reroll the other two dice: one more 4 makes Four of a kind, worth the sum of the dice: 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 5 = 21 points.
Tips to get better
- Aim for the bonus: three dice of each value in the upper section make exactly 63 points.
- Keep Chance for a bad turn: it takes any dice.
- Better a 0 in a hard box (Yatzy, Large straight) than wasting the Aces or Sixes late in the game.
What this game trains
- Planning and strategy: think several moves ahead and organise your actions.
- Mental arithmetic: calculate in your head, fast and right.
